In Germany there are about 6,3 million people suffering from diabetes type 2 most of

them between 60 and 80 years old. The telemonitoring system »glucome« has been designed exactly for this group of patients to make their daily life a little easier.

The system consists of three different devices: a blood glucose meter to measure blood

glucose, a motion sensor to record the patients movements and a special tablet computer that saves all collected data and sends it to the telemonitoring center. This makes the patients feel save because they know there is a doctor watching their data every day and immediately contacts them when there is something wrong.
